My name is Mumtaz Seedat and I am a self taught fine artist.
A couple of years ago I was inspired to rediscover my love of art after having to put it on hold because of raising my three children and facing life threatening health issues.
After meeting a group of like-minded art enthusiasts I was encouraged and was given the confidence to take up my passion for art.
I have explored a variety of mediums and found that working with acrylics suited me best for its versatility, vibrancy and the ability to layer paints and even combine with other mediums. I take inspiration from my surroundings trying to capture the mood and natural light.
I have had my work displayed in the city museum and local art galleries. Some of my work is also in private collections.
